Lakes Line :: Along the Line :: Staveley

Staveley is the gateway to the spectacular Kentmere Valley. It's a great base for walking and mountain biking. Staveley is also on the Dales Way and there is a lovely low level walk along the River Kent. Look out for the biannual Lakes Storytelling Festival held in September (odd years) or Staveley Carnival July (even years).

The Station is less than five minute walk from the main street in Staveley. Please note the only access to the station is a via a steep flight of stairs. From Staveley you can make bus connections to the 555 Lancaster-Keswick service, and on Sundays in Summer the Kentmere Rambler will take you to the Kentmere Valley.
